Soul calibur vi inferno Patch#
Altho, lately I've noticed hes been using his explosion attack too, a patch must've changed something for him. Last thing I can think of is when he floats in the air immediately start moving to the side, hes going to use his teleporting unblockable attack, which is vertical. build meter save it for the start of his combos. Resist Impact is Extremely useful against Inferno since a lot of his moves are Break and Unblockable attacks. (SC5 was a game that definitely read your inputs and this game is not as bad as that one reading wise) This helps your chances in winning Reversal Edge. You can see when they make it by the red flash, they tend to make their choice close to the very end of the decision making part (almost as if waiting to read what you put down (suspicious.) I don't think the A.I is flat out reading your inputs, but its definitely doing some amount of it. This may not be an actual fact, but during Reversal Edge I tend to wait until the A.I inputs its choice before making my own. But I "think" the last two hits are mids to you have to do an attack before that point. Reversal Edge when hes right in your face to get around that, it also builds meter which helps alot in this fight.Īt long range he will usually sidestep around the stage and use his forward A combo to close the distance, its a revenge attack so watch it, it can also be ducked. Inferno is a very Vertical fighter, he loves to spam his forward Punch and Break Attack launcher at mid range so watch out for that.Īt close range will more than likely do his insanely fast down up punch combo. Break Attacks will also make you positive, allowing you at attack first, I would suggest a launcher when positive he doesn't side step often. Using Taki's Ninja bomb makes quick work of his offenses. Again it goes right though his revenge and Critical Edge which will do about 60-70% damage to your health. If you have a character with a quick Break Attack use it often. Launching him into the air not only gets around that 90% of the time, but its good for combo damage. Use your launcher A LOT, Inferno relies on a lot of revenge attacks to power through your own.

No shame in cheese, its a cheesy bossfight so use whatever means to beat him until you feel confident enough to fight him regularly. And with my Taki I even play around with him before finishing him off. I used to struggle a lot with him as anyone else, but since I play the Legendary arcade so often have gotten pretty good at beating him reliably.
